Eurofound Report: Workplace Sexual harassment

Eurofound reviews the various approaches to addressing sexual harassment in EU Member States and highlights recent policy changes, based on information collected from its own network of European contacts.

Key findings: While Nordic countries (Denmark, Finland and Sweden) and others (such as the Netherlands and Belgium) adopt a preventive approach by placing a duty on employers to proactively prevent sexual harassment, in other national jurisdictions, the focus tends to be skewed towards providing legal recourse, sanctioning sexual harassment and clarifying procedures to address instances of such misconduct.
