Thousands of eligible Team Members at Hilton Worldwide can now receive support preparing for the GED tests, thanks to a new benefit designed to help employees earn their high school equivalency diploma. The benefit provides one-on-one advising and test preparation support free of charge to Team Members, and it will also cover the cost of taking the GED tests. The GED Assistance program is available to all full-time U.S. Team Members at owned and managed hotels and corporate offices with at least six months of service. "We are committed to offering industry-leading benefits to continue to recruit and retain the best talent," said Matt Schuyler, Chief Human Resources Officer, Hilton Worldwide. "We are proud to offer meaningful programs like this that reflect our support for our Team Members and their ongoing development." Hilton developed the program with the Council for Adult and Experiential Learning (CAEL), a Chicago-based nonprofit dedicated to providing adults with easier access to education and learning opportunities. Hilton estimates that the GED Assistance program will benefit approximately 5,000 Team Members in the United States across the company's owned and managed hotels and corporate offices. This new program is part of a series of Team Member benefit enhancements that Hilton Worldwide is introducing to be an employer of choice and a great place to work, including industry-leading parental leave benefits and advanced scheduling for hourly Team Members.
