In response to the unfolding COVID-19 crisis and Subscriber requests, the Center conducted a survey on whether and how companies are considering modifications to their executive compensation programs for 2020. COVID-19 represents an unprecedented crisis for the modern economy. The Center is hoping this survey will offer real time data as companies try to understand the full impacts to their employees, their customers, and their business operations.

See full results and analysis here.

The survey was conducted from March 23 - 27, 2020. In total, 105 subscribers provided responses. While some companies have taken definitive steps (see the wave of news reports about corporate executives cutting salaries and bonuses), many CHROs and compensation committees are evaluating the situation further, including whether they intend to pursue federal aid through the CARES Act, before announcing definitive steps.
