Center CEO Ani Huang to Participate in SEC’s Roundtable on Executive Compensation Disclosure Reform

Huang Presents Views of Large Employers in Compensation Decision Making

Washington, D.C. – Today, Ani Huang, CEO of the Center On Executive Compensation and senior executive vice president of HR Policy Association, will join a panel of industry experts at the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Executive Compensation Roundtable. The discussion, titled Executive Compensation Decisions: Setting Compensation and Informing Investment and Voting Decisions, will explore how executive pay practices influence corporate governance and investor behavior.  

The panel will explore how public companies set compensation for their executive officers, including: who sets compensation, the factors that influence compensation decision-making, and the process by which compensation decisions are made. The panel will also discuss how investors consider executive compensation in making investment and voting decisions.

Ms. Huang said, “I commend the SEC for undertaking a review of current executive compensation disclosure requirements and for seeking input from industry experts as part of its evaluation of potential future reforms. I am pleased to participate in the Roundtable and to provide the perspective of large employers. Analyzing peer groups, pay for performance, disclosure rules, the role of corporate board members, institutional investors and other external factors has always been a large part of the Center On Executive Compensation’s work.”

Ms. Huang will be joined on the panel by a Compensation Committee Chair, a prominent compensation consultant, a representative of institutional investors, and several other respected experts, each offering valuable and diverse perspectives on executive compensation.
