European Employee Relations Academy: Managing EWC 3.0
Ensuring a Successful Transition to New EWC Directive Requirements
About the Workshop
Join us for a three-day, expert-led workshop designed to help you navigate the transition to the new 2025 European Works Council (EWC) Directive. This hands-on program is tailored for HR professionals and company representatives managing EWCs, whether you’re looking to maintain a positive atmosphere or address compliance gaps and challenges.
Why Attend?
- Every EWC—over 1,000 across Europe—must review and adapt to the new Directive.
- Learn strategies to transition from pre-Directive (Article 13), Article 6 Agreements, and Subsidiary Requirements EWCs to optimal, sustainable arrangements.
- Discover how to maintain strengths or remedy weaknesses in your current EWC setup.
- Understand the risks: Just 100 employees, or their representatives, from two EU/EEA countries can trigger a renegotiation request. That’s potentially two people.
What You’ll Gain:
- Practical tools and a detailed, written guide to the 2025 Directive.
- Individual situational assessments and “one-on-one” time with leading EWC experts.
- A clear action plan tailored to your company’s needs.
Faculty
- Tom Hayes & Alan Wild: Leading EWC strategists since the 1990s, with experience negotiating over 100 EWC agreements.
- Bryan Dunne (Matheson LLP) & David Hopper (Lewis Silkin LLP): Top legal experts in EWC law, especially in Ireland, where most EWCs are now HQ-ed.
