Working from home: Australian state offers 2 days WFH per week by law

The Victoria state government in Australia legislates two-day weekly home working rights amid corporate return-to-office mandates. The move appears to have boosted the government support

As the CEOs of major corporations increasingly order workers back into the office, the Labor government in the Australian state of Victoria (Melbourne is the state capital) has decided to legislate to give workers the right to work from home for at least two days a week. Polls in August showed as many as 64% of voters backed the move, which some commentators think has contributed to a 10-point rise in support for the Victorian government since the start of the year.
