HR Policy Global’s Take: Employers should consider diversifying their hiring strategy based on the insights this report provides. However, they also need to be aware of jurisdictional complexities and potential legal challenges when hiring internationally, based on a recent lawsuit against CNN 

1. Europe leads in remote hiring: Europe emerged as the top region for remote hires, accounting for 43% of new positions in 2024. The Philippines, USA, India, Canada, and the UK are also top talent markets. 

2. High demand for tech roles: Information technology, sales, and marketing are the most sought-after job families. Software engineering tops the list, with 18% of new hires filling these roles. 

3. Rise of flexible work models: There is a 46% increase in contractor roles, reflecting a shift towards gig economy models. This trend supports agile workforce strategies, catering to dynamic market demands. 

4. Compensation trends: Median salaries for new hires increased by 4% in 2024, with competitive packages being essential for attracting top talent. 

5. Growing confidence in emerging markets: With a 29% increase in payment volume to emerging economies, these regions are becoming vital talent sources, enhancing global workforce diversity.
