Farm Law Protests Continue

Farmers in India are continuing their peaceful protests despite the Indian Government having agreed to two of the four of the farmers’ demands.  The farmers, however, are still determined and want nothing less than a repeal of all three farm laws, saying the new laws will hurt their livelihood.  The standoff over outstanding issues remains despite seven rounds of talks between farmer unions and the government.  Both sides continue the debate, with the next round of talks planned for January 8, 2021.
