Tara McCormick
Tara McCormick is a global human resource, labor relations and talent executive with 25+ years in the $800B+ global aerospace and multi-billion dollar building and industrial products industries, with experience as the strategic HR leader for P&L’s as well as functions. Tara currently leads the Employee and Industrial Relations function for Boeing’s operations, where she and her team have responsibility for 60+ countries, multiple employee representative bodies and bargaining agreements.
Prior to her current appointment, Tara was the Human Resources Director for Boeing Fabrication, a $5.5B cost center within Boeing Commercial Airplanes. She had overall responsibility for the efficient delivery of Human Resources processes, products and services at 12 Fabrication sites with 18,000 employees, located in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom and Australia.
Before joining Boeing in 2014, McCormick spent 17 years at United Technologies Corporation (UTC) where she held a variety of positions in Human Resources and Labor Relations at five UTC divisions. This included the Director of Employee and Industrial Relations for Otis Elevator, HR Director for UTC Fire & Security’s Continental Europe division located in Paris, as well as roles at Pratt & Whitney, the division now known as Collins Aerospace and the corporate headquarters. In her tenure, she worked in numerous areas of HR supporting collective bargaining, restructuring, mergers & acquisitions, compliance, talent management and leadership engagement.
Tara attended Cornell University graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Labor Relations. She also has a Juris Doctorate from the University of Connecticut School of Law.
