Jud Snyder

Jud Snyder is BMO’s US Chief Human Resources Officer. In this role, he is responsible for People and Culture for BMO across the United States. This includes Human Capital Strategy, Organizational Design, Talent and Succession Planning and Total Rewards among other responsibilities. He is also a member of BMO’s US Management Committee, helping to design and implement BMO’s overall US strategy.
Jud previously served as BMO’s Senior Executive for Southeast Wisconsin (2016-2024) and as Regional President in BMO Wealth Management (2022-2024), overseeing the strategic development and delivery of BMO Private Bank’s personal wealth management platform to high-net-worth individuals, families and organizations, including closely-held and family-owned businesses, endowments and foundations throughout the Midwest.
Prior to working in Wealth Management, he spent much of his career in Commercial Banking. He was responsible for leading the growth and development of BMO’s Equipment Finance business from a small regional business to one of the leading businesses in Equipment Finance in the United States. This included strategic and managerial responsibility for sales, operations, underwriting and equipment management capabilities within Equipment Finance.
Jud obtained his BA in Russian and Economics from UW Madison (’94). He is a graduate of the Chief Human Resources Officer Program through the Wharton School (University of Pennsylvania ’25). He serves on the Board of Directors for the United Way of Greater Milwaukee & Waukesha County, Milwaukee World Festival, and is the current Board Chair of Froedtert ThedaCare Health, Inc. He was previously a Director and Chair of the Milwaukee Ballet (2012-2019), a past Chairman and Officer of the ELFA (Equipment Leasing and Finance Association) (2010- 2020) and past Trustee of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee (2016-2025).
