HR Policy's Retiree Health Access Coalition, chaired by Larry Steward, Vice President of Human Resources for DTE Energy, has announced that it will launch a new retiree exchange solution called RHA Direct which will be exclusively available to HR Policy members beginning January 1, 2013. Unlike other retiree exchanges available in the marketplace today, RHA Direct will be the only exchange offering guaranteed access to all retirees and their family members regardless of individual health status, age, employer subsidy, or geographic location. "More and more, employers are seeking creative alternatives to traditional group retiree benefit plans. What the Association brings to the marketplace is the purchasing power of hundreds of large employers who can insist on unique program design features not currently available," said Steward. "With guaranteed access for all retirees and no minimum employer contribution, RHA Direct will be a very popular solution for those considering new ways to deliver health care coverage."
