Our annual Labor Relations Conference on November 9 in Washington, DC, will provide an early post-election outlook for labor and employment policy, as well as in-depth discussions of the most critical labor issues with which our members are grappling. Among those addressing the conference--entitled "U.S. and Global Labor Policy in Tumultuous Economic and Political Times"--will be Department of Labor Solicitor Patricia Smith and NLRB Chairman Wilma Liebman. The latter will appear on a panel with Harvard Economics Professor Richard Freeman and NYU Law professor Samuel Estreicher to discuss "Employee Needs and Wishes, Unions and the Law: Are They in Synch?"
