National Health Access^SM

With the number of uninsured Americans constantly increasing, the HR Policy Association has sought to develop a program that will provide populations associated with its member companies not currently covered by traditional employer sponsored health care programs access to affordable health care coverage. The Association's initiative is entitled National Health Access^SM (NHA^SM), and NHA's current program provides coverage to:

• full time workers who are not eligible for employer sponsored coverage,
• part time workers,
• independent contractors,
• temporary or seasonal workers,
• individuals who have exhausted COBRA benefits,
• spouses, domestic partners and other dependents,
• those in waiting periods for group coverage,
• early retirees; and
• suppliers and franchisees doing business with Association member companies.

NHA is a national solution administered by Kelsey National Corporation on behalf of the HR Policy Association’s Health Care Policy Roundtable. The current platform offers access to hundreds of insurance policies from over 30 carriers. NHA has a dedicated website and call center to assist eligible individuals find the right coverage to meet their needs. Because NHA offers individual rather than group policies, the administrative and compliance burden placed on employers is minimal, making NHA easy for employers to implement and offer.
